The Kondas Center of Naive Art in Viljandi is the fourth stop of the travelling exhibition “NOT out of sight, NOT out of mind”. During a two-year period, the exhibition travels through 6 art, culture and environmental education centres in Latvia and Estonia. The exhibition sites in Estonia were chosen and coordinated by MoKS artist run space. Whose idea when selecting exhibition spaces was to reach out to diverse and wide audiences. Besides the Kondas Center for Naive art, exhibition is shown in Estonia in locations such as Tartu Nature House (August- October 2019) and Estonian Road Museum (June- July- August 2020). The exhibition is part of the cross-border project WasteArt that includes 8 partners from Latvia and Estonia with a common goal to raise awareness towards the vast amount of waste produced, as well as possibilities to reduce, reuse and recycle waste materials.

The project is implemented by the Institute for Enviromental Solutions in cooperation with MoKS Artist Residency, Rucka Artist Residency, Võru municipality, Vidzeme Planning Region, SIA ZAAO, Põlva municipality and Tipu Nature School. The project coordinator for the exhibition in Estonia is MoKS.

The exhibition is a part of the project WasteArt No. Est-Lat 65, which is funded by ERDF Interreg V-A Estonia-Latvia Border Programme, Ministry of Enviromental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia.
