"Vintage in Heart" by Corina Stoica

Corina Stoica is a self-taught artist from Romania. Ever since she can remember, she has been attracted by craftsmanship, always wanting to create something interesting and expressive that could be enjoyed by her family and circle of friends.

In this regard, the serious journey only began several years ago when she embarked upon a process of learning different sets of skills and techniques. With a view to developing her art skills she attended a multitude of workshops and online classes where she has been inspired by artists such as Donna Downey, Dina Wakley, Andy Skinner or Antonis Tzanidakis.

When creating, she mostly aims at obtaining tridimensionality by using mixed media on canvas, cardboard or other type of support materials. Likewise, in her paintings she is trying to obtain depth by applying several layers thus adding a flavor of tridimensionality to a basically two-dimensional work-piece. The artist also enjoys repurposing and or upcycling all sorts of objects from empty cardboard boxes, to journal covers, to old furniture. Steampunk or industrial is the style she goes for.
