Little Red Riding Hoods
“Little Red Riding Hoods” is a follow-up exhibition to “Pink Lama”, the exhibition of Kristi Kangilaski’s works held in the Staapli Gallery in Tallinn in September 2021. As after the exhibition, the painting “Pink Lama” and several other works were bought and taken home by their new owners, the title and works of the Viljandi exhibition are different. In the situation where the artist works with the computer every day and her eyes are constantly on the screen, she has decided to do something “real” to balance her life. While some people engage in gardening or DIY around their house, Kristi has chosen to paint. She paints just for the fun of it, takes some paint on the brush and puts it on the canvas, without much thinking. Usually, she is inspired by a beautiful moment she has experienced. Also, beautiful colour tones are important for her when painting. The most important point in life is to do the things that make you happy, and not to worry too much.
