Secret Lives

The exhibition “Secret Lives” could be viewed as a group exhibition, but it rather includes small solo exhibitions presented under one name.

What connects these five artists: Jüri Mildeberg, Kadi Kurema, Regina Lukk-Toompere, Urmas Viik and Viive Noor? Firstly, all five are among the best-known illustrators in Estonia, and internationally renowned in their field. Secondly, besides making illustrations, they are also engaged in other fields of art (painting, printmaking and photography, creating objects and mini plastics, book illustrations).

Each of them has a clearly distinctive handwriting and their own small secret world. The exhibition allows visitors to enter and take a brief glance into these hidden worlds, somewhat fairytale-like and highly personal worlds.
