So far, she has published eight books, the first of which, “Päike läheb puhkusele” (“The Sun Goes on Holiday”) won a special prize of the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre and an award at the Five Best Designed Children's Books competition. The latest book illustrated by Kangilaski is “Ronides sugupuul” (Climbing the Family Tree) by Evelin Poveli. This is Kristi Kangilaski’s first solo exhibition in her hometown.
Kristi Kangilaski has said, “I have loved drawing as long as I remember myself. Although life has made twists and turns, in the end I have still reached the work I always dreamed of – illustrating books.”
