Piret Kalda is an actress who likes to make funny and cute naive paintings. She always dedicates her work to a specific person, so her pictures are full of meaningful symbols which remain enwrapped in mystery for bystanders, but add some dramatics and elegant friskiness. She got the very first impulse to paint while watching icons at Italian churches - some of her works resemble icons and we can only hope that her paintings carry some protective power over everyone to whom they have been given over the course of years.
