Linda
Lepik (1904-1988) was born in Oorgu village, Viljandi County. She lived her entire life in her native Oorgu village at Rilli farmstead. She acquired basic education (eight classes) at several schools in Estonia. During the Soviet Era she worked at the kolkhoz. After retirement she worked for the Craft Cooperative Uku until 1969. She also started to attend classes at Tartu Art Museum, she was the purest naivist among her fellow students at the gouache and watercolor painting course. She loved to paint landscapes and add some fantasy elements to emotions gained directly from nature. She mostly painted the lands around her home, but also on her journeys in Estonia and to Russia.
